I LOVE taking pictures of smiling faces and happy memories! My main goal with all of my photography is to capture the organic, in the moment, emotional images that make time stand still. This is why I personally prefer shooting on location in natural surroundings.
There’s no easier way to get a kid smiling then just following them as they play outside with friends or in the playground. Or if you want to feel romantic, then why not go to a romantic location, such as where you were asked to spend the rest of your life with the one you love.
Location shooting helps to give not only a sentimental backdrop but it allows you to feel more comfortable then under the sterile rigid setting of a “portrait” studio. Don’t get me wrong, studio work is truly an art form unto itself. I just prefer the natural, comfortable, and story-telling ability of shooting portraits on location.
