I recently took a wedding photography class from Picture Perfect School of Photography. I learned a lot about the ins and outs of wedding photography and participated in a number of interesting class projects. I particularly enjoyed the “wedding details” project which was an exercise in looking for all the little details at a wedding that make it special. A gentle touch. A beautiful flower. A tear. Mom’s gloves. Bride’s shoes.
So, since I didn’t have any “official” wedding shoots on the horizon, I did the next best thing: called up some local bridal shops and asked if I could take some pictures in their shop. First on the list was David’s Bridal who quickly shut me down. I then came across Serendipity Bridal (http://www.serendipitybridal.com/about.htm). I called them up and spoke with Jessica Epstein, the owner. She was so pleasant and all too happy to help me out. So I headed out to her shop and took pictures of all their beautiful accessories and dress. The store felt so welcoming and made me think like any bride who went there would be treated like a princess.
Below are some of my favorite images I took for this project.
